The Construction Computing Awards 2024

The Construction Computing awards or "The Hammers" as they are affectionately known are back for 2024 and the 18th running of our annual event. As ever, we are looking to showcase and reward the technology, tools and solutions for the effective design, construction, maintenance and modification of commercial buildings, residential and social housing and civil engineering projects of all sizes.

Another year, another set of challenges. Two dominant themes over the last year have been the adoption of AI in all areas of construction to extend, streamline and fine tune applications, and the accumulation of data to manage and collaborate on building projects. The demands, therefore, in an increasingly complex construction environment have become immense as we aim to boost efficiencies and cut costs at the same time as upskilling the current workforce and recruiting skilled workers in an increasingly competitive jobs market.

The drive towards renewable or sustainable energy sources, heightened by the dramatic effects of climate change, are pushing the sustainability agenda. Net zero carbon emissions and embedded carbon are now factors in projects from infrastructure design to Smart Cities, and the latest technologies include devices for surveying and recording construction and building performances to achieve optimum resource usage.

The Construction Industries most successful companies, in all areas, recognise the challenges we all face and have risen to them admirably, and are reaping the benefits.

As usual, you get the opportunity to highlight their success as well, by nominating companies, suppliers and contractors who you think have provided an outstanding contribution to the industry. We also invite you to submit your favourite projects to be considered by a panel of Judges. However, many of the categories are decided by you and your colleagues within the industry. As ever, our aim is for The Construction Computing Awards to allow companies from every sector of the industry to seek recognition for their efforts over the past 12 months.

The awards evening will take place on November the 7th at The Leonardo City Hotel8-14 Coopers Row, London EC3N 2BQ
